Miner Mountain Copper-Gold Project

A large scale copper-gold alkalic porphyry target northeast of Princeton B.C. that is 2056 hectares in size.
  • Year-round exploration capability, easy road access, and extensive infrastructure
  • Located near mining friendly Princeton and 15 km north of producing Copper Mountain Mine (past production 96.7Mt milled, current Measured and Indicated Resource at 0.18% cut-off is 314 Mt)
  • Claims cover an extensive well-altered porphyry system containing excellent copper-gold grades and located along the same regional fault system as the Copper Mountain mine
  • Mineralization extends from surface to at least 200 m depth

The Miner Mountain Copper-Gold Project project is based in the Quesnel Stikine Terrane, which currently contains three copper gold porphyry projects approaching production.

Located immediately East of the Town of Princeton, and 16 kms North of Copper Mountain the project has immediate access to highways, hydro power, full communication, and is accessible year round.

The bulk of the property is composed of the volcanic Andesite flows of the Eastern Facies of the Upper Triassic Nicola Group and the sub-volcanic intrusive Diorites and Micro Diorites. These rocks have been heavily faulted and altered and host the alkalic porphyry mineralization. Intercalated with the volcanics there is minor limestone .

To the west and north, the property crosses the Boundary Fault, a major structure separating the volcanics and intrusives of the Nicola Group from the sediments of the Eocene Princeton Group.

The dominant geology of the Princeton sheet is a north-northwesterly trending belt of Upper Triassic Nicola Group metavolcanics and metasediments. The Miner Mountain Property is located within the southern portion of the Quesnel Terrane, or Quesnellia, of the Intermontane Tectonic Belt of British Columbia. Quesnellia is a northwesterly trending belt of Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic submarine and subaerial alkalic and calc-alkalic volcanic rocks, related sedimentary rocks, and comagmatic intrusive rocks some 40 to 50 kilometers wide and traceable from near the 49th parallel along the full length of the Intermontane Belt into the Yukon.

Exploration Focus

  • A total of 4,159 m of diamond drilling and 9,044 m of percussion drilling have been completed by Sego to date
  • Extensive geophysics have confirmed the Cuba Zone target (target size: 1,400 m x 220 m)
  • 5 other targets identified for Sego by former Chief Geophysicist of Teck-Cominco and Teck Resources, Dr. Jules Lajoie, P.Eng.

Near-term Objectives

  • To extend higher grade mineralization to north & northwest
  • To extend the porphyry copper system beyond known depths
